Brett Dietz
/1972 Moto Guzzi Eldorado
"My interest extends to all era machinery that were engineered, designed and manufactured with the user and technician in mind. They were destined with style and totally unique from each other. Everything else since has been borrowed from the past. I'd rather ride the original.
How did I find it? My dad bought the guzzi in the early 90's. Supposedly it was an unregistered farm bike with off road tires. Who would 'a' thunk!"
Kārlis Ploks
/I don't know how I found this unique page on Kārlis Ploks - 1930's Stunt master, but this photo is incredible. Born in Sinole, Vidzeme (Latvia) in 1895, he grew up poor, served in WW1 and ended up working in a gypsum factory in Riga, Latvia. After some work in Odessa, Russia, Karl moved back to Riga and took to doing what he loved - being a motorcycle stunt king. Cheers Karl, you're remembered.
Please visit the Latvian Footprints website for more about Kārlis Ploks.
What a badass...
