So many great figures in history that have achieved what most of us dream of. Anne France Dautheville was a Journalist and writer, and in 1972, she rode aMoto-Guzzi 750 to participate in the Orion Raid (Paris France, to Isfahan Iran) and then continued solo on to Afghanistan.
In 1973, she became the first woman to ride across the world solo on a motorcycle: Astride a Kawasaki 125, she trekked three continents and covered 12,500 miles. Interestingly, her personal style during these trips became an inspiration for a fashion lined for the famed Chloe's fall 2016 collection.
She's written twobooks of her journeys, Une Demoiselle sur une Moto (Girl on a Motorcycle), published in 1973, and Et J'ai Suivi le Vent (And I Followed the Wind). We're really hoping an English edition will be published soon!
